Cookies and milk for Santa. Decorated by Davin. I'm pretty sure the one on the bottom right is going to be his favorite. I mean who doesn't love a WHOLE handful of sprinkles!
These pictures uploaded in RANDOM order! So here you have it, Christmas at the Orton house.
Santa Stuff..Davin really wanted a western gun. It is the only thing he really asked Santa for. So Christmas morning, he walked righ past the barn, right to the western gun(the little pistol one you can hardly see in the pic:) and yelled, "A WESTERN GUN!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!) It was so funny. DAV got some western guns, a trailor and the barn. Dawson got some new hooded towels, washclothes, clothes and his train. Then in the middle are some family gifts. I asked Santa to bring the kids one book, one movie, and one game each year to add to our family collection. This year since there were two boys, he thought he'd leave 2 of each:)
Dawson didn't know what to think. I only wrapped a few things for him since I knew he wouldn't really care.
Dav's new bull riding/saddle bronc vest. He said, "Yes, now I'm like Cody Wright!"
Christmas from Santa and mom and dad. Note to self; Relax a little next year. I had a hard time controlling myself with Davin because of his cowboy obsession!
Dawson really just wanted to go back to sleep!
Cowboy! Cody Wright/Jesse Wright/Lane Frost He is usually one of these three when you ask him. |
Santa has delivered!
Christmas 2011: I was so excited for Christmas this year. I knew Dav would finally understand it and be so excited about everything. The only thing he really asked for was a western gun from Alco. I should have just told Santa to bring that and call it good! I am terrible with pictures. It isn't until it's all over with that I realize my lack of taking pictures. Christmas Eve we went down to Robin and Mark's in Milford for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. It was great and we always look forward to going down there. Then we came over and had my family over to our house. We decorated cookies for Santa and visited. It was fun and something I hope we can keep doing! Christmas day we woke up and had my mom and dad come over to watch the kids open presents. They had fun but I'm always sad it is all over within a few minutes! Then we went to my mom's and had breakfast! It was delish! Since we missed our ward becuase of breakfast, we went with Troy and Nicole's family to their ward. I'm so thankful to have the knowledge we have of the true meaning of Christmas. It seems the older I get the more I think about it each year and the more I appreciate the true meaning. Then we headed out to the Orton's to exchange gifts and skype with Elder Rylan Orton! I love that they let him skype! He is doing so good and we are so proud of him. It is so good to talk to him and hear how he has grown up but still hasn't changed too much! He wanted to hear all the hunting stories and see all the sheds they picked up! Dav and Daws scored big again with grandpa's and grandma's gifts..once again no pics! It was a great Christmas! The best part about Christmas is the magic with the kids and being surrounded by family! *Sorry for typos-I have a fiesty 8 month old helping me!
